SimpliVity Gen10 systems running HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) firmware v2.3x through v2.4x, may stop responding during POST, displaying the following POST message during or after SimpliVity deployment or upgrades on systems running HPE Smart Array SR Secure Encryption. The has been observed using Local or remote Enterprise Secure Key Manager (ESKM).
HPE Secure Encryption Keys Are Being Retrieved
The system will not boot if HPE Smart Array SR Secure Encryption is enabled on the logical drive containing the operating system.
SimpliVity Gen10 systems deployments or upgrades may display the following during boot:
ERROR : Step 36 of 43: ERR_RAID_CONFIG_FAIL: Could not (re)configure RAID
set - Logical drive config(s) dont match configuration file
Scope
Any SimpliVity Gen10 systems with iLO 5 firmware v2.3x or v2.4x with encryption.
Resolution
This is targeted to be resolved in a future release of iLO 5 firmware. As a workaround, use iLO 5 firmware v2.16. This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
To download the iLO 5 firmware v2.16, perform the following steps:

The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the iLO 5. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the top of the page:
Select the Software Type - ("Firmware")
Select the Software Sub Type - ("Driver - System Management")
For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment.
Locate and select the
HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 v2.16 firmware
.
Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available.
