By default the vam server and tunnel keep alive run on their default settings. The vam server will send a keep alive packet every 180 seconds (3 minutes) and will retry 3 times if no response is received. This totals 12 minutes before the vam server network-map would reflect any change in topology. The Hub/Spoke tunnel has it's own keep alive setting by default a keep alive packet will be sent every 180 seconds (3 minutes) and will retry 3 times if no response is received. This totals 12 minutes before the advpn session would change from success to dumb.To adjust these setting:On the VAM server usesystemvam server advpn-domain hp.local (where hp.local is your advpn domain)keepalive interval 5 retry 3 (the interval has a valid value of 5-65535 seconds and retry can be between 1-6) Please note that the time taken for the connection to be marked as down/dumb will be the number of retries + 1 x the interval. For example if you have retries set to 3 and the interval of 5. the time you expect to see a change be seen on the device is (3+1)x5=20)To adjust for the tunnel on the hub or spoke use the followingsystemInterface tunnel 1 (where tunnel 1 is the tunnel used for you advpn gre tunnel)keepalive interval 5 retry 3 (the interval has a valid value of 5-65535 seconds and retry can be between 1-6) Please note that the time taken for the connection to be marked as down/dumb will be the number of retries + 1 x the interval.
