A problem with the system uptime counter has been found in some versions of Comware v7.10. This affects MSR software versions R0304 and all its patches up to and including R0304P12, HSR version R7103, and VSR version E0321. After 213 days of continuous operation, the device uptime counter shown by the CLI command display version will return to zero. When other protocols with timers refer to the system uptime and get the wrong value, the protocols might behave unpredictably and problematically.The features most negatively affected by this issue are OSPF/OSPFV3, ISIS/EVI, BGP, MSDP, IGMP/MLD/PIM, PORTAL, NQA, AAA, and VOICE. Other features that are affected and will report inaccurate information, while still function are system running time, RSVP/PECP, TRAP, NETSTREAM, SFLOW, DHCP, DNS, MIB, VLAN, LLDP, OPENFLOW, FR, PPP, CWMP, LDP/TC/TE, L2VPN, OAM, STP, MACSEC, AP online time, STA online time, link-aggregation, and port-security.
The MSR and HSR routers have been shipped on affected software versions during the July and August 2015 time frame. This affects Comware version 7.10 R0304 and all patches prior to R0304P15, HSR version R7103, and VSR version E0321.

If a maintenance window cannot be scheduled prior to that point, a reboot of the device will reset the clock and provide another 213 days before any problems/symptoms of protocol misbehavior are seen.HPE regrets any inconvenience this issue may cause.
