As a workaround, perform a manual rescan within HPPP to restore functionality. This is fixed in HP Power Protector 1.04.046, available as follows:Windows:http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_c72efe9e4cdf40e281a3cc049eLinux:http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_02944e8bc0ff42f994a395be52ORAs a permanent fix, perform the following steps to modify the config.js file and allow HPPP-Admin to auto-rescan the device and it will detect the UPS again.Stop the HPPP software. In the "HPPP PowerProtector/configs" folder, locate the config.js file and make a backup copy of the file by right-clicking and selecting the "open with" option and choosing to edit with Wordpad.Edit the config.js file, replacing the two occurrences of "udpMode": true to "udpMode": false (in the “xmlPDC” and “xmlProxy” sections).Save the new changes.Start HPPP software. This modification will be also be added to the next version of HPPP. This advisory will be updated when additional solutions become available.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
