Document VersionRelease DateDetails210/02/2015Updated to include the 1950 Switch Series information.107/23/2015Original Document Release.The PoE switches in the HP 5130 Switch Series may occasionally fail to supply PoE power on their PoE enabled ports. The power may become disabled immediately after a reboot of the switch, or it may fail after a long period of normal running – typically several weeks. After the failure has occurred it is not possible to re-enable the power using the normal console commands like "POE ENABLE". A "DISPLAY POE INTERFACE" command shows all the ports "Disabled," in a "Fault" status and/or providing no power.

POE firmware version POE-145 (and later) provide a number of fixes to correct this issue. The firmware is available for download from the HP My Networking portal.
