There are a number of errors in some of the user guides for switches that support Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) configurations. Some user guides have incorrectly stated that an IRF ring topology is not supported when only two units are configured in the IRF fabric, while other user guides have incorrectly stated that 2-unit IRF fabrics are supported. It may be possible with some software to configure a 2-unit IRF ring fabric on devices that do not support this operation, but the correct operation of such a fabric cannot be guaranteed.Three or more units in an IRF fabric will always support an IRF ring configuration.
Any of the switch types listed in the Resolution.
The user guides are currently being corrected and will be posted as soon as possible.
