After updating to Java 7, users may find that they cannot launch a remote KVM session from the KVM's OBWI. When this occurs, all HP KVM IP Console Switch G2 firmware must be upgraded to HP IP Console Switch G2 with Virtual Media Firmware version 1.20.19 (or later). After upgrading the firmware on the HP KVM IP Console Switch G2 you will be unable to launch a remote KVM session from the HP IP Console Viewer Software version 4.1.1 (or prior). HP IP Console Viewer Software version 4.1.2 (or later) must be installed to launch a remote KVM session with an HP KVM IP Console Switch G2 with Virtual Media that has firmware version 1.20.19 (or higher) installed on it.Note:This issue affects the following HP KVM IP Console Switch G2 models:HP 1x1Ex8 KVM IP Console Switch G2 (AF620A)HP 2x1Ex16 KVM IP Console Switch G2 (AF621A)HP 4x1Ex32 KVM IP Console Switch G2 (AF622A)This issue is a compatibility issue between some versions of Java 7 and older versions of Java.
Any HP ProLiant Server with Java Runtime Environment 1.7 installed and used to access the OBWI of an HP IP Console Switch G2 and launch a remote KVM session or that has HP IP Console Viewer software version 4.1.1 (or older) installed to launch remote KVM sessions.
The issue described above is resolved in HP IP Console Viewer Software for Windows Version 4.1.2 (or later) and HP IP Console Viewer Software for Linux Version 4.1.2.
