When configuring the boot order of an HP ProLiant m300 Series Server Cartridge, the boot device selections must not be of the same type. The system firmware does not allow both boot order selections to be network boot devices, or both boot order selections to be hard drive storage boot devices. Therefore, if two boot devices are specified, one must be a network-based boot device, and the other must be local storage boot device. If two boot devices of the same type are selected, the second device will not be attempted if the first device fails to boot.
Any HP ProLiant m300 Server Cartridge with System BIOS dated 6/24/2014 and running iLO Chassis Manager Version 1.20.
When using two options in the boot order command, select one network boot device and one local storage device. If two boot devices of the same type are selected, the second device will not be attempted in the case where the first device fails to boot.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HP Subscriber's Choice.
