On a ProLiant server with HP Integrated Lights-Out 4 (iLO 4) Firmware Version 1.20, scriptable virtual media should be grayed out for iLO Essentials and BladeSystem licenses because the feature is not available with those licenses. However, the checkboxes on the Integrated Remote Console (IRC) are not grayed out (disabled), which could cause confusion because when those boxes are checked, the scriptable virtual media is not actually mounted. This occurs when an attempt is made to mount a URL as scriptable virtual media with iLO Essentials and BladeSystem Standard licenses.
Any ProLiant server with HP Integrated Lights-Out 4 (iLO 4) Firmware Version 1.20.
A future version of HP Integrated Lights-Out 4 (iLO 4) Firmware will correct this issue.Even though the scriptable virtual media checkboxes in the IRC are checked, the scriptable virtual media is not actually mounted. This advisory will be updated when additional information becomes available.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HP Subscriber's Choice.
