After installing HP Insight Software 6.2 or HP Systems Insight Manager 6.2, if a Repair/Reinstallation of HP System Management Homepage (SMH) 6.2.1 (included with 6.2) is performed, the WMI Mapper service and WMI Mapper Indications service may not restart. If the user logs into services.msc and attempts to manually restart "Pegasus WMI Mapper" and "Pegasus WMI Mapper Indications," the services may fail to start.HP System Management Homepage 6.2.1 removes permissions set by WMI Mapper and WMI Mapper Indications service that are set during the WMI Mapper installation.
Any system running HP Insight Software 6.2 and/or HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) 6.2 while performing a Repair/Reinstallation of HP System Management Homepage (SMH) 6.2.1.
If an HP System Management Homepage 6.2.1 Repair/Reinstallation is performed, also run a Repair/Reinstallation of WMI Mapper.This has been corrected in HP System Management Homepage (SMH) 6.3 (or later).
