When the Voltage Configuration DIP switches located on the rear of an HP T1500 G3 International Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) with Firmware Version 1.04 are set for 240 volt input, an audible alarm (indicating that the input voltage is out-of-range) may beep once every four seconds and the battery indicator LED on the front panel of the UPS will illuminate amber. This can occur even though the voltage from the main utility is within the acceptable range for the 240 volt input setting (216V - 254V).Note:The HP T1500 G2 International UPSdoes notexhibit this behavior.
Any HP T1500 G3 International Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) (Part Number: AF451A) with Firmware Version 1.04.
To prevent the Input Voltage out-of-range alarm from sounding once every four seconds, upgrade to HP T1500 G3 International UPS Firmware Version 1.06 (or later), available as SoftPaq SP44744. The latest firmware version is available for download from theHP Rack and Power Infrastructure Products Firmware and Driver Updateswebsite at the following URL:http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/power-protection/software/hard-firmware.htmlUntil the firmware upgrade is installed, temporarily set the DIP switches on the back of the UPS to the 230 volt input range. This setting will stop the alarm from sounding and the UPS will function properly.IMPORTANT:Firmware Version 1.06 is only applicable for the T1500 G3 International UPS model and should not be applied to the T1500 G3 North America UPS model. For additional information and configuration instructions, refer to theHP T1500 G3 User Guideat the following URL:http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01609191/c01609191.pdfRECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HP Subscriber's Choice.
