Although the fault is not reported in HPPM, the T750 UPS will still function as designed, but will illuminate the UPS Site Wiring Fault LED to indicate that a site wiring fault exists (Figure 1, Item 7).This only occurs when the UPS is connected via the USB communication port. When the serial communication port option is used to connect the T750 UPS to a ProLiant server, the site wiring fault will be reported in HPPM 4.0 (Figure 2).Figure 1: HP T750 UPS Rear PanelFigure 2: HP Power Manager (HPPM)A site wiring fault is typically reported when the utility power receptacle is improperly wired under either of the following conditions:No ground connection between the utility power and the UPS (e.g., the utility power receptacle is not properly grounded). The line and neutral connections between the utility power and the UPS are reversed (e.g., the line and neutral wires are reversed in the utility receptacle). If a site wiring fault is reported, contact a qualified electrician to inspect the utility power outlet. For additional information, refer to the HP T750 UPS User Guide available at the following URL:http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01609191/c01609191.pdf
