On VMware ESXi version 8.0 and 9.0, the ESXi host client UI displays the status of the HPE Agentless Management Service version 802.12.1.0 as "Stopped" although it is actively running on the Operating System.
Any HPE ProLiant Gen11/Gen12 server or HPE Synergy Gen11/Gen12 Compute Module running HPE Agentless Management Service version 802.12.1.0 and VMware ESXi 8.0 or 9.0.
The actual status of the HPE Agentless Management Service daemon can be viewed on the iLO GUI or can be seen in the OS using the following command:/etc/init.d/amsdv status.This will display the status of the amsdv and smadv daemons, indicating whether the service is running or not.This issue will be solved in a future AMS release and this document will be updated when more information is available.
