HPE Edgeline network switch faults may stop passing traffic or an HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switch may not be detected in the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Chassis Manager User Interface (UI). If not detected, the switches will be displayed as "0" on the interface.
Any HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System with HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switches installed and HPE Edgeline e920 Server Blades and with HPE Edgeline EL8000 Chassis Manager Version 2.7 installed.
Use the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Chassis Manager version 2.7 Command-Line Interface (CLI) "reset switch" command options, as follows:Log into the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Chassis Manager (CM) CLI.If an HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switch has stopped passing traffic (as determined by e920 Server Blade OS log events or OS errors), run the CLI command:reset switch s1,reset switch s2, orreset switch both(to reset the affected HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switch).If an HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switch is not detected in the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Chassis Manager GUI, run the CLI command:reset switch presence.
