An iLO Amplifier appliance may fail to update the network settings after restarting the appliance VM from within the VMware Web Client as shown in the example below:This occurs due to a restart of the iLO Amplifier appliance VM from VMware's VMClient not gracefully shutting down the operating system of the iLO Amplifier appliance. This causes the modified settings to revert to the last known good and not save the changes.
Any HPE system running iLO Amplifier that is not gracefully shutting down after making network changes.
The iLO Amplifier appliance is running a Linux-based operating system that requires a graceful shutdown when making changes to the network settings of the iLO Amplifier appliance VM.Use any of the following methods using either the CLI or GUI to make changes to the network settings for the iLO Amplifier VM and gracefully reboot.Using the CLI:Press ESC to enter CLIMake network changes and reboot appliance.Example of nic1 IP change to static,ILOAmpPack> set systemconfig networkconfig nic1 dhcp off 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.1[Success]: Network Configuration Settings changedNetwork settings are saved.
