When applying a server profile using the "online update method" with the "Not Scheduled" option selected, HPE OneView may incorrectly display a locked alert indicating that a firmware update is pending or blocked:Since "Not Scheduled"means no firmware baseline activation will occur, this alert is misleading. In addition, the alert may persist even after the server is powered on with Agentless Management Software (AMS) running, which can be confusing. This alert is incorrect for this scenario. When "Online Update" is selected, OneView will check the firmware baseline compliance. However, if "Not Scheduled" is selected:No firmware baseline is queued or appliedNo activation task is createdDespite this, OneView still posts a locked alert, interpreting the situation as a pending update
Any HPE OneView version.
This is only a display issue. The alert can be cleared by changing the Activation setting to one of the following settings:Activate Firmware = ImmediatelyORActivate Firmware = At a Scheduled Date and TimeSelecting either option will align the OneView alert logic with an update workflow, causing the incorrect alert to clear. This issue will be corrected a future release of HPE OneView. This advisory will be updated when more information is available.
