Certain HPE SAS Hard Disk Drives (HDD) running older firmware versions that are attached to an HPE MR Gen10 Plus RAID Controller (as listed in the Scope section) may randomly report disk failure or removed disk error in the Integrated Management Log (IML) when under high I/O load. However, the drives are not failed or removed as reported by the controller in the IML. When this issue occurs, the Integrated Management Log (IML) will incorrectly log the following message, for example: Informational,168,21442,0x0D,Drive Array,0x0B,IML, ,Customer,06/01/2023 14:05:21:00,06/01/2023 14:05:18,73: Slot=XX Storage - Drive at Port XI Box X Bay X is Removed ACTION: If installed, configure the drive for use. If removed, check drive status

As a workaround, a drive remove/re-insert, or server reboot will clear the incorrect reporting issue.
