Document VersionRelease DateDetails2February 24, 2022Updated the Resolution with information for the HPE Synergy Image Streamer configuration.1January 7, 2022Original Document Release. For HPE Image Streamer deployed servers on a single HPE frame, the Proof of Concept (POC) configurations may fail to boot and a "2414 Unknown ISCSi" error will occur. The reason for the servers to fail to boot over iSCSI is due to the X1 port being blocked on the Virtual Connect (VC) module with a reason code of "port conflict."The configured role is for "Service," the "Determined Role" is Uplink, and due to this conflict, the port is set to blocking. This anomaly can occur with any OneView version. The issue will only be seen in single frame configurations. The factors required for this issue to occur are as follows:Single frame POC configuration containing an HPE Composer and Image Streamer appliance.Single connection from Frame Link Management 1 (FLM1) management to Top of Rack (TOR) switch.TOR switch has an Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) port name of less than nine characters, for instance, the port name is "Gi1/0/5" that is only seven characters in length. This issue is caused by an exception in the DMRMPlacementCablingAnalyser module because the non-HPE TOR switch has an LLDP port name of less than nine characters.
When HPE Image Streamer is deployed servers that are part of a single HPE Synergy Frame 12000 for Proof of Concept (POC) configuration and the servers are managed by HPE OneView version 6.0 or earlier.
HPE OneView does not support the following HPE Synergy Image Streamer configuration:An Image Streamer configuration in a "development and Proof-of-Concept single enclosure" environmentANDThe Frame Link Module's management port connected to a non-HPE switchNote: HPE Synergy Image Streamer is at End Of Life (EOL) in 2022.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
