When HPE OneView is reimaged without decommissioning HPE Synergy Image Streamer, the following message may be displayed:"Image Streamer appliance trust establishment failed, Location enclosure Frame <X> bay <X>."This issue occurs when the Logical Enclosure (LE) and OS Deployment Server (OSDS) are not previously deleted (in that respective order), before reimaging OneView. Consequently, Image Streamer will retain the pre-reimaged OneView details in the database.Once the reimage operation has completed, OneView will attempt to claim the Image Streamer, resulting in trust establishment issues. When this issue occurs, access to all the artifacts, golden images, golden volumes, and other functionality will be permanently lost. This scenario can only be recovered with an OneView backup generated prior to the reimage operation.Note:This issue only occurs when the OneView reimage operation is performed without decommissioning Image Streamer. Updating OneView (instead of reimage) will not be affected by this issue.
In the scenario described above, any HPE Synergy Image Streamer version.
To avoid this issue, delete the LE and OSDS before performing a OneView reimage operation. Once the reimage operation has completed, add the OSDS and create the LE.If the LE and OSDS were not deleted prior the OneView reimage operation, perform the following steps:1.
