On any HPE ProLiant DL365 Gen10 Plus server or HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Plus v2 server with a 3rd Gen AMD EPYC processor and 8GB of DRAM memory configured with any of the HPE network adapters listed in the Scope section below; during the installation of the HPE VMware custom image for VMware ESXi 6.7 U3 or VMware ESXi 7.0 U1 / ESXi 7.0 U2, the disk is not detected or the Operating System installation fails displaying an error or a Purple Screen of Death (PSOD).This issue occurs because the Mellanox driver requires too much system memory; therefore, the VMware ESXi Operating System cannot allocate sufficient system memory to properly initialize the hardware.
