In some instances, on systems running an HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module for HPE Synergy, connection may be lost when using the optional 804101-B21 HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 3m Active Optical Cable, and/or the optional 804104-B21 HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 5m Active Optical Cable, and/or the 804110-B21 HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 15m Active Optical Cable.Follow the troubleshooting guide listed in the Resolution section to check the physical connection from the server to its destination device to determine if the issue exists with the original AOC cable, or if the issue could potentially be switch CXP port link down or link flapping.

When using HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 3m Active Optical Cable (804101-B21) and/or HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 5m Active Optical Cable (804104-B21) and/or HPE Synergy Interconnect Link 15m Active Optical Cable (804110-B21), and link down is observed on the signal/multi CXP port, follow the instructions in theHPE Synergy Troubleshooting GuideIf the connection is lost, check the physical connection from the server to its destination device, such as interconnect, server blade, switch etc., including any cables. Be sure that no loose connections exist.If there are, reseat the AOC cable.
