When editing the server profile, it is not possible to set the "Uncore Frequency Limiting" BIOS/RBSU setting for HPE Gen9 servers because the option is missing from the Edit BIOS Settings page in HPE OneView.
Scope
Any HPE OneView version 5.5, or any earlier version that manages HPE Gen9 servers.
Resolution
This issue is addressed by upgrading to
HPE OneView 5.6 or later.
To work around the issue, manually change the BIOS setting on the server itself:
During POST, press F9 to boot into the System Utilities menu.
In the System Utilities menu, navigate to "System Configuration --> BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) --> Advanced Options --> Uncore Frequency Limiting."
Select a setting.
Save the settings. Press "Enter" to save settings. Press F10 to save the change, then press "Y" when prompted to accept the change.
Press the "ESC" key repeatedly to navigate back to the top menu level. There are two options: Exit and Resume System Boot, or "Reboot the System."
Select "Reboot the System" and exit System Utilities, then press "Enter" when prompted to exit and reboot the server.
