This issue has been resolved with an updated HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 PCIe Expansion Module Firmware. A bootable ISO update utility has been created and published. Follow the instruction from the update utility to update and resolve this issue:HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 PCIe Expansion Module Firmware Update ToolAvailable HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 PCIe Expansion Module firmware versions included on this update are:HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 PCIe x2 Expansion Module (v105) - 872628-B21 - (Support max 2 cards - 1 per cage)HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 PCIe x4 Expansion Module (v106) - P14255-B21 - (Support max 4 cards - 2 per cage)IMPORTANT NOTEDue to the nature of this online update, it is common and expected that the systems may log errors during shutdown immediately after the update. These errors will only occur once, immediately after an update, and can be ignored and cleared from the system log. The following errors would be seen in the systems integrated management log as a set of consecutive errors:Uncorrectable PCI Express Error DetectedUnrecoverable I/O error has occurred. System Firmware will log additional details in a separate IML message entry if possible.Uncorrectable Machine Check ExceptionAs a workaround to maintain GPU functionality if the update cannot be performed at the moment, reboot the host if a VM with one of the above listed NVIDIA GPUs is attached via passthrough.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
