On HPE Synergy Image Streamer, an Operating System (OS) volume deployment to a secondary appliance pair may fail with the error "Unable to deploy the OS volume".The OS volume deployment fails because the associated Golden Image has not been propagated from the primary appliance pair to the secondary appliance pair. This issue only occurs on multi Logical Enclosures (LE) configurations where there is more than one HPE Synergy Image Streamer pair.
Any HPE Synergy Image Streamer with firmware version 4.10.04.
This issue will be addressed in a future firmware release for HPE Synergy Image Streamer. As a workaround, follow the steps below:Locate the problem Golden Image (GI)Download the GI to local driveRename the GIAdd/Upload this renamed GIModify the Deployment Plan (DP) to point to this new renamed GIUse new or the same server profile with a DP pointing to new renamed GI.When the GI is added/uploaded, it replicates successfully across the secondary Logical Enclosure / Image Streamer pair and the OS deployment will succeed. This advisory will be updated when the permanent fix becomes available.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
