An issue has been identified where the "ScratchConfig.CurrentScratchLocation" value may default to "/scratch" if a VMware ESXi 6.5 server is configured with an iSCSI connection and if the following version of the Emulex driver and IMA-plugin is installed:elx-esx-libelxima.so 11.2.1238.0-03elxiscsi 11.2.1238.0After rebooting the server, normally the value assigned to the "ScratchConfig.CurrentScratchLocation" would equal the value currently set for "ScratchConfig.ConfiguredScratchLocation".In the example below, the Current Scratch Location does not equal the Configured Scratch Location. Instead, the value is set to "/scratch".When this occurs, the following alert message will be displayed in the /var/run/log/vmkernel.log file:"ALERT: Logs are stored on a non-persistent storage. Consult product documentation to configure a syslog server or a scratch partition."
