On an HPE Synergy 12000 Frame, any Uplink/Stacking Link port will not link from HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Modules for HPE Synergy or HPE Synergy 40Gb F8 Switch Modules when using either of the following transceivers: HPE 40Gb QSFP+ Bidirectional Transceiver HPE BladeSystem c-Class 40Gb QSFP+ LC LR4 Transceiver As a result, there will not be Uplink/Stacking link connectivity on the modules.

To resolve the issue, perform the steps below to download and install Virtual Connect firmware 1.0.2.1006 (or later): HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb Module Click the following link www.hpe.com/downloads/synergy Download Synergy Software Release Set 3.00.20170417 (or later) Upload Synergy Custom Service Pack For ProLiant (SPP), which is included in the Synergy Software Release Set, to OneView and install FW using Logical Interconnect or Logical Enclosure Update Or Click the following link: http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/portal/site/hpsc Enter a product name (e.g., "Virtual Connect SE 40Gb") in the text field under Enter a Product Name or Number and click Go. Select the appropriate product model from the Results list (if prompted). Click the "drivers, software & firmware" hyperlink under the Download Options tab. Select the system's specific operating system from the Operating Systems dropdown menu. Click the category Firmware - Blade Infrastructure. Select the release of the HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module firmware version 1.0.2.1006 or later. Click Download. Using Smart Update Manager, create a Custom Baseline SPP upload the Custom Baseline SPP to OneView and install firmware using Logical Interconnect or Logical Enclosure Update HPE Synergy 40Gb Switch Module Click the following link: http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/portal/site/hpsc Enter a product name (e.g., "Synergy 40Gb Switch Module") in the text field under Enter a Product Name or Number and click Go. Select the appropriate product model from the Results list (if prompted). Click the "drivers, software & firmware" hyperlink under the Download Options tab. Select the system's specific operating system from the Operating Systems dropdown menu. Click the category Firmware - Switch. Select the release of the HPE Synergy 40Gb F8 Switch Module firmware version 1.0.2.1006 or later. Click Download.
