An error message like the one below popped up during the installation wizard: The DPA Datastore service address entered is not visible from this host. Please check the provided Address or your Network Configuration (including Firewalls) to ensure that communications are available. More details were encountered in the install logs file under <install_dir>\_install folder from the App server: ***** 1 ReplayVariables for CreateDialog named VAR_APPLICATION_DATASTORE_ADDRESS [ERROR] Datastore not visible on IP address : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx SHUTDOWN REQUESTED
Running the Windows OS command nslookup from the Application server against the hostname and the IP address of the Datastore server confirmed that the name resolution was not consistent In this instance the reverse lookup returned an incorrect hostname for the Datastore server IP address This is not DPA but an environmental issue
Fix name resolution issues in DNS at the OS side DPA product requires a correct name resolution between all the systems within the environment to function properly Please contact DPA technical support for further information
