There is a compatibility issue between version A00 of the two docks and the laptop. It is triggered by updating to BIOS version 1.8.2.
Dell Engineering is aware of the issue. The following workaround steps recover the laptop, dock, and any attached peripherals. Workaround: Wait until the BIOS 1.8.2 update finishes installing and rebooting. Turn the laptop off. Turn the laptop back on again and confirm that the dock and any attached peripherals such as an external monitor is detected. Long-Term Fix: Engineering is working on a new BIOS to resolve this issue permanently. It is posted to the laptops product pages once it is available. This article is to be updated once a launch date is confirmed.
