The laptop may lose the Intel USB Input/Output (USBIO) bridge device during the following circumstances: After a cold boot After a warm reboot After resuming from sleep After resuming from hibernation Note : No error message appears on-screen. However, any USB device on that bridge controller may not work as expected in the operating system. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro Precision 7 14 PW714260 Dell Pro Precision 7 16 PW716260 Affected Operating System: Windows 11
The power state setting is not correct which causes the initial USB device to fail in the BIOS.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to: Back Up and Recovery Connect the AC adapter Updating the Dell Pro Precision 7 14 PW714260 and 7 16 PW716260 System BIOS to version 1.1.0 or later on the laptop resolves the issue.
