Touchpad cursor movement is slow, unresponsive, or stops moving, or intermittently does not work. The buttons on the touchpad have no issues. Affected Platform: Dell Pro Rugged 14 RB14250
The finger signal was identified as palm data after resuming from sleep mode, this was because noise interference caused a slight floating of the sensing signal, so the cursor stuck symptom related to the palm events.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery . Connect the AC adapter. Updating the Dell Touchpad Firmware Update Utility to version 0.0.3479.02 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the firmware, refer to the Driver Update Guide .
