No Ethernet wired connection is found after updating the laptop to BIOS version 1.25.1. The wireless network connection continues to work throughout. Fail Condition: Expected Result: Connecting an Ethernet cable to the port on the laptop does not affect the issue. Fail Condition: Expected Result: Affected Platforms: Vostro 14 3430 Vostro 15 3530
There is an issue with BIOS version 1.25.1 and it has been removed from the Dell Drivers & Downloads page and from the Microsoft update.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to: Back Up and Recovery Connect the AC adapter to the laptop. Updating the BIOS to version 1.29.0 or later on the laptop resolves the issue. To download and install the Inspiron_3530_Vostro_3430_3530_1290.exe file, refer to the: BIOS Update Guide
