The camera on the monitor may not be detected or have no power. The issue occurs when Speaker & Microphone in on-screen display (OSD) is set to Disable and then unplug and re-plug the monitor's AC adapter. The issue only occurs in the firmware version M2T104 or M2T106, with the audio path function introduced in M2T104. If the current version is M2T104 and Speaker & Microphone in OSD is set to Disable, after upgrading to M2T106, the scaler performs a reboot action following the upgrade guideline. This may also result in the camera not being detected. Affected Monitors: Dell P2424HEBDell P2724DEBDell P3424WEB
The CY24 codebase is built on the C-series code, so the audio and camera code are linked together. From M2T104 the function to enable and disable audio and camera in OSD is added, so when disabling the Speaker & Microphone function in OSD, it also powers off the camera.
Workarounds: Enable Speaker & Microphone in OSD when updating the firmware. Mute the Speaker & Microphone in OSD instead of disabling the whole audio path. The engineering department is working on a fix to be released in firmware version M2T107 and later. The updated firmware is posted to the computer's support page once it is made available in October 2025.
