No sound is heard from the Dell Pro Plus Wireless ANC Headset WL5024 when connecting to an Android after updating the firmware to version 2.8.7. This happens when the Android phone has Bluetooth Low Energy Audio (LEA) enabled. This may be experienced on phones such as a Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S24, Sony Xperia 5, and more. If the phone has already been paired before, the headset has no sound. If pairing the headset for the first time, the headset gives an audio message of "one device connected" but then a disconnecting sound is heard. Affected Headset: Dell Pro Plus Wireless ANC Headset WL5024
Not applicable
Updating to WL5024 Headset firmware version 2.8.8 HR024 Dongle firmware version 0.3.6 or later on the Dell headset resolves the issue. To download and install the firmware, refer to How to Download and Install Dell Drivers and Firmware . The headset firmware may also be updated through Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM) or the Dell Audio Mobile App (DAMA) on a cell phone.
