Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250 towers that shipped from the factory with one solid state drive (SSD) and a 360-watt power supply require a second fan installation if a second SSD is installed. If the lower front fan (Fan2) is not installed when a second SSD is installed, error code 2000-0511 is displayed. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250
When a second SSD is installed, the BIOS checks for the presence of FAN2 (optional). If FAN2 is not present, a 2000-0511 error code is present.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery . Ensure that power remains connected to the desktop. Updating the BIOS to version 1.9.2 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the BIOS Update Guide .
