Rugged tablet or laptop may not be able to access the mobile network. The issue occurs after inserting the SIM and adding Access Point Name (APN) manually for Japan mobile network operator such as Docomo, Softbank, au KDDI, and Rakuten. Incorrect APN configuration prevents the device from accessing a mobile network.
Check the mobile network operator website to obtain the APN setting: Docomo Softbank au KDDI Rakuten Go to Start , Settings , Network & internet , Cellular or Mobile , select Mobile operator settings and click Add APN to add the APN manually. Contact your Carrier or mobile operator, search their website, or search the web for APN Settings to obtain the necessary APN, username (if required), password (if required), and type of sign-in information (if required), otherwise choose None .
