In MM firmware 2.20.10, "model" information may be missing from the following locations: LCD panel: Chassis Information at OME-M:
The issue would be seen in Grid or power supply unit (PSU) redundancy due to an incorrect value in the product description. To determine if the issue is present on a chassis, check the FRU information at OME-M. Alternatively, from the Chassis logs, check the frutest log located in: dumplogs\ec\eclogs_active_xxxxxxxxx_xxxxxx.zip\system\frutest.txt Which should show a CHECKSUM error similar to the below: frutest -p 1 -f /var/run/FRU/RCPFRU.bin : ERROR: getting FRU data, status code = 5 (0x0005) FRUPARSER_INVALID_CHECKSUM The command frutest took 0.10 seconds
This issue is cosmetic and should not have any impact on functionality. Even if the FRU is corrupted, most chassis do not exhibit the symptoms of the missing model information unless both MMs are replaced. Update the MM firmware to 2.20.11 or later to resolve the issue. As a result of the model name is missing, the Firmware update button is disabled. The Firmware Update can be run from the following location. Select Devices >> All devices >> Select the chassis device >> click Update Note: A failover of the MM may be required after the firmware update to allow the model name to be seen correctly.
