Changing the orientation of the USB type-C connector causes the desktop to fail to detect it is connected You can experience detection issues with your Dell Pro Max desktop and an external USB Type-C device. The desktop can fail to detect the USB Type-C is connected if you remove the connector and plug it back in the other way round. (Rotating the USB Type-C connector 180 degrees.) This affects the following Dell Pro Max desktops: Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250
This is due to an issue with the coding in the BIOS.
Note: You must have administrator rights on your desktop to make any operating system changes or update any software. Update the BIOS to Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250/Slim FCS1250/Tower T2 FCT2250 System BIOS , version 1.1.2 or later .
