A crash was seen in the CTS Core process: UNIX-EXT-SIGNAL: Segmentation fault(11), Process = CTS CORE -Traceback=
CTS is being used on the device. CTS is being invoked at the same time that an HTTP / HTTPS request is being made to the WebGUI. This causes a conflict resulting in the crash. This is a timing issue. However, if the device is being bombarded with HTTP/HTTPS requests to WebGUI, this would make the issue much more susceptible to seeing the issue. For instance, you may see the following message stating the device is seeing alot of requests: %HTTP-4-SERVER_CONN_RATE_EXCEED: Number of connections per minute has exceeded the maximum limit(500)as specified by the platform. This might not appear though.
1) Disabling WebGUI access with the following command would stop the crash: no ip http server no ip http secure-server 2) If the HTTP connections are coming from an unauthorized source, an ACL can be used to only allow authorized hosts.
