Customers attempting to install an application receive an “Installation blocked” message. The issue occurs because the sys_app_version table contains multiple records for the same application and version, which is created by a scheduled job that randomizes its execution window up to 24 hours. The duplicate entries prevent the App Manager from correctly validating the installation, blocking the app from being installed. Steps to Reproduce 1. Access the instance. 2. Go to AppManager and open any app (for example sn_ai_itsm_cont) which is licensed and validated on CI (usageanalytics) prod but it displays 'Not Licensed'. 3. Click install and it fails with 'Installation blocked' on that app itself. 4. Open the sys_app_version table and check the records for the app and scope ID. Expected: There should be only 1 record for that app and a specific app version. Actual: There are multiple records for the same app and app version.
A permanent fix for this issue is available. Please refer to the 'Fixed In' section of this article in the lower right. It is recommended to upgrade to one of these versions to avoid this issue. If an instance cannot upgrade to a fixed version, the following workaround is provided: Workaround prerequisites: The order of loading the update sets is mandatory: load

Import → Preview → Commit the update set. Open the Fix Script 'fix_sys_app_version_constraint_100' and run it. 2.
Update Set 2 — PRB2022268-fix-global-index (sys_remote_update_set_03e6461f645e8310f87783a169737a54.xml) Adds a unique DB index so duplicates can't recur. Import → Preview → Commit the update set. Then open the Fix Script 'fix_sys_app_version_constraint_200' and run it.
