When a record is deleted, the platform runs a cascade delete. If many CMDB archive tables exist, the CMDB cascade delete can be slow.
Create and run an Archive rule on the CMDB table. Archive tables are created for each class which can result in hundreds of CMDB archive tables. Each of these has a copy of the duplicate_of column from the base cmdb table, which is a reference to the cmdb_ci table. Delete a CI from the cmdb_ci table and observe a query for each CMDB archive table checking for references.
