Any HP ProLiant Gen8 or HP ProLiant Gen9 series server.
If IP does not launch as expected by pressing the F10 key during System POST, reinstall IP using a bootable USB Key. Instructions to create the USB Key with the IP image are provided below.IMPORTANT:The same USB key cannot be used to reinstall IP on both ProLiant Gen8 and ProLiant Gen9 servers because Gen8 servers use a different version of IP than Gen9 servers:IP Version 1.62 is the latest version that supports Gen8 servers.IP Version 2.X is for Gen9 servers ONLY. Ensure that the correct version is being deployed using the bootable USB key, depending on the server generation. The following URL provides additional FAQs for HP Intelligent Provisioning:http://h20195.www2.hp.com/V2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4AA4-3130ENW&cc=us&lc=en%20Q1Step 1 - Download the Intelligent Provisioning ISO imageand USB Key Utility from HP.com (one time) - This takes approximately 2-5 minutes to complete.Step 2 - Create a bootable USB Keyand copy the ISO content to the USB key (one time) - This takes approximately 5-6 minutes to complete.Step 3 - Install Intelligent Provisioningusing the USB Key - This takes approximately 6-8 minutes to complete.Process Step 1 - Download Intelligent Provisioning ISO ImageDownload the firmware ISO image and the USB utility-tool from hpe.com, by performing the following steps:Go tohttp://www.hpe.comand select Support at the top right corner.Select HPE Servers, Storage, and Networking under Product Support. From the Product Support drop down menu select Download options and then Drivers & SoftwareEnter the name of a ProLiant Gen8 or Gen9 server (e.g. ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server) and click Search.Select one of the listed servers.Select an Operating System (e.g. Windows Server 2008 R2).Select Software - CD-ROM from the Download Index.Click DOWNLOAD to download Part 1 (HPIP230.2015_0827.81.iso or later) and save the file to a folder on the computer.Extract the content of the zip file to a folder on the computer.Scroll to the Utility- Tools section and click DOWNLOAD to run the * RECOMMENDED * HP USB Key Utility for Windows (cp015352.exe or later).
