When upgrading HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) firmware using HPE Compute Ops Manager (COM), the firmware update operation may fail.This issue occurs when upgrading:• From iLO 6 v1.69 (or earlier) to v1.70, v1.71, or v1.72or• From iLO 6 v1.70, v1.71, or v1.72 to v1.73 (or later) through COM.
Any HPE system with iLO 6 firmware when upgrading to or from v1.70, v1.71, or v1.72 when the upgrade is initiated using HPE Compute Ops Manager (COM).
This issue has been resolved in iLO 6 firmware version 1.73 (and later).• Firmware upgrades from version 1.69 (or earlier) to v1.73 (or later) using COM will be completed successfully.• The issue only affects upgrades that involve firmware v1.70, v1.71, or v1.72 when the update is performed from COM.If this has already occurred, upgrade the iLO 6 firmware directly to v1.73 (or later) to ensure a successful update.To download iLO 6 firmware v1.73 (or later), perform the following steps:Click the following link:http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo6The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product.
