The HPE ProLiant DL320/DL340 Gen12 system has only one processor. However, on systems that have the optional Systems Insight Display (SID) module, if the server is running a secondary CPLD version older than v1111, the LED at PROC#2 on the (SID) will incorrectly illuminate amber, even though there is no Processor 2 in the system:
Any HPE ProLiant DL320 Gen12 server or ProLiant DL340 Gen12 server configured with an SID and running a secondary CPLD version prior to v1111.Note: The secondary CPLD versions can be found on the iLO webpage.
Since these systems only contain a single processor, this issue can be safely ignored, because there is no "PROC#2."However, CPLD versions v1111 (and later) have the Processor 2 LED set to "off," preventing this issue from occurring. The CPLD version can be updated by the HPE Services and Support team.
