After performing a secure erase, an HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) reset will occur, causing iLO 6 firmware v1.71 to stop responding. When this occurs, the system is unable to ping the iLO 6 IP and the iLO 6 web interface is not available.
Any HPE Gen11 system with iLO 6 firmware v1.71 when a secure erase is performed.
Update Integrated Lights-Out 6 to version 1.72 (or later) prior to running Secure Erase.As a workaround, perform a power-cycle.To download iLO 6 v1.72, perform the following steps:Click the following link:http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo6The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product.
