On HPE Gen12 servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7), if an attempt is made to boot into a Windows 2025 OS, the iLO 7 Integrated Remote Console (IRC) will fail to display the OS GUI, and it will halt at the loading screen. This will occur if the Onboard VGA driver is not present and the NVIDIA A1000 GPU driver is present. The behavior is as expected. iLO will not display the output of an add-on GPU. This is a limitation of iLO/BMC consoles.
Any HPE Gen12 servers with iLO 7 and in the scenario detailed above.
If there is a need to access the OS GUI, access it via RDP(Remote Desktop) or connect a monitor to the A1000 GPU display port.If there is a need to access the OS GUI via iLO 7, then install the VGA driver.
