On HPE ProLiant Compute ML350 Gen12 and HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen12 systems configured with an NVIDIA RTX A1000 in the x16 slot, the following PCI train error may occur during POST:"PCIe slot failed to train at Gen 4 speed and x16 width"An NVIDIA RTX A1000 can train as Gen 4 x8 or Gen 3 x16. Therefore, it is expected behavior of the system during POST when A1000 operates on Gen4 x8, but is placed in x16 slot.
Either of the following HPE servers configured with any NVIDIA RTX A1000 GPUs in x16 PCIe slot:HPE ProLiant Compute DL380 Gen12HPE ProLiant Compute ML350 Gen12Although this has been observed on the above systems, it could potentially be seen on any Gen4 x8 supported server and GPU placed in an x16 slot.
