When a system with any of the HPE Smart Array Controllers listed in the Scope section are shut down unexpectedly with the following conditions, the status changes to "Warning" in iLO, and the health status LED blinks amber during the next boot.Conditions:The Smart Array Controllers are configured with logical drives, andThe Smart Array Controllers are cache enabledThe message below is displayed in the HPE Smart Storage Administrator CLI (SSACLI) tool:"The current array controller had valid data stored in its power-backed write cache the last time it was reset or was powered up. This indicates that the system may not have been shut down gracefully. The array controller has automatically written, or has attempted to write, this data to the drives. This message will continue to be displayed until the next reset or power-cycle of the array controller."The controller's power-backed write cache is preserved during an ungraceful shutdown and is restored during the subsequent reset or power-cycle. The controller displays a message on the SSACLI following the next reset or power-cycle after an ungraceful shutdown.If the system undergoes a graceful shutdown, the message will not appear in the SSACLI after rebooting. After a graceful reboot, the warning status of the iLO and LED will be cleared, and the message in SSACLI will not appear.

As a workaround, reboot the server to clear the warning status.
