An internal error in the CLI response to the#show vlancommand display will occur when a special character is included in the name of a Virtual LAN (VLAN):An internal error occurred.The VLAN table display is incomplete after the offending VLAN that caused the internal error is parsed.Example of the error:To avoid the internal error display, only alphanumeric characters should be used in the VLAN name. The following special characters are allowed:Examples of acceptable names or descriptions are shown below.

Only alphanumeric characters encased by quotes are to be used in the name of a VLAN. No other special characters are allowed, with the exception of the above listed special characters, to avoid the internal error display.If this issue occurs, check the running config file or theshow runCLI output for any special characters in the name of a VLAN.
