On an HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 Compute Module with an HPE MR416i-o Gen11 controller running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6/SP7 with HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) Release 2025.05.01/2025.07.02, the below symptoms may be observed on affected systems when XEN is enabled: HPE MR416i-o drives may not be presented within the OS. dmesg log may show megaraid_sas driver errors on boot. Redfish data for the controller may return incorrect information including the name becoming "SATA Storage System" and only SATA under supported drive protocols. KVM is not affected and remains supported with the MR416i-o on the HPE Synergy 480 Gen12.
Any HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 Compute Module with an HPE MR416i-o Gen11 controller running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6/SP7 with HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) Release 2025.05.01/2025.07.02 using XEN.
XEN will be supported with HPE MR416i-o in a future release.
