Starting with SimpliVity Software 5.2.0 there is a new SimpliVity Alarm defined in vCenter. The health check runs monthly and upon host reboot. An alarm is sent to vCenter if the BIOS settings deviate from the recommended settings. The alarm details will identify the specific BIOS attribute(s) that do not match the recommended settings. It has been determined that some of these BIOS attributes can be different, and if the alarm is generated by any of the settings included in the following list of "Ignored BIOS Attributes," it can be ignored safely. In the next SimpliVity Software release, there will be an ignore list to prevent vCenter alarms for the following BIOS attributes.List of ignored BIOS Attributes:AutoPowerOnAllowLoginWithIloCustomPostMessageNicBoot1NicBoot5SecureBootStatusServerConfigLockStatusSgxOwnerEpochEncryptTpmActivePcrsTpmChipIdTpmTypeTpmStateTpmFipsTpm20SoftwareInterfaceStatusUserDefaultsStateUtilityLangtAs a workaround, until the next SimpliVity Software release, acknowledge these alarms or disable the alarm in vCenter.
